Hello,
What brand is recommended by the group?
For those that use it, is it done preemptively (one a month?) Or only when you appear to running "rough?"
Have never used it, but curious to get a sense of how it’s meant to be used.
Thank you,
Carb Cleaner Guide

Re: Carb Cleaner Guide
I use the spray version to clean carburetors when disassembled, but I don't put anything in the gas tank. Other than gas of course. If your gas tank is clean, and you have a good fuel filter, I doubt carb cleaner would do much for you. If the engine is running rough, a dirty carb is one potential cause, but I'd do some more investigation first. Does it run rough when hot? Cold? When idling? When accelerating? Or just in general?
Different story if you have fuel injection. A few of my friends swear by fuel injector cleaner containing Techron (same stuff as in Chevron gas), but that's only anecdotal. Add a pint or so every tankful every so often.
