I found that the rear tail light printed circuit boards were corroded to the point that there was no continuity between the circuit boards and the metal bulb fixtures riveted to them. Dang 40 years of corrosion
some cleaning of the board contacts and the fixtures and a few globs of solder fixed them for now and we have current flowing and bulbs glowing bright.
It might have been less of a Bubba fix if I had taken the time to drill out all the little rivets, clean the contacts and then put it all back together with new rivets, but like my buddy Bubba always said "the bigger the blob, the better the job".
