No injector pulse on FI

Post by BammBamm »

I have refurbished this FI prior and own almost a whole 2nd set for testing including an ecu. I recently rebuilt the motor and I’m reinstalling the fuel injection. The dual relays are operating, the ECU pin out checks out for positive and ground. I’ve got 12 V positive at the injectors, but no negative closing of the injection from the ECU. I have the J Tronic diagnostic manual. I’ve checked all the contacts for the relays and the ECU panel. The manual says to replace the ECU. I installed my other working ECU. But still no injector pulse. What can I check to verify, the computer is operating? I doubt both of my working issues have suddenly stopped working. What should I be missing here?

You didn't mention checking for the ignition control pulse (ground) on pin 1 of the ECU. Do you have spark at the spark plugs? Does the Yellow wire on the D (-) terminal of the coil trace to pin 1 of the ECU. The ECU needs a momentary ground from the ignition control module to trigger its injector circuit.

That was it. I had it as coil + in my notes. Thanks

Great. Thanks for your response, all to often folks don't replay once their car is fixed so one never knows if the issue is resolved.
