Warning - I am not mechanically inclinded at all!
I took my '77 124 Spider into the dealer for an alignment and need 3 shims (1/4", 1/8", and 1/16") which they didn't have but could get - the price seemed really high as they had to buy in packs of 25 and really only need 3. They said you can use the GM ones which are U shaped - I found some sets on Amazon but they don't have the 1/4", but figure you can just double up on the 1/8" without harm?
If anyone has any input, recommendations, or link - much appreciated. I try to buy good quality for the car but not sure if a simple Amazon purchase is fine since it's a hunk of metal but may worry about rust if cheaply made.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can stack two 1/8 to get 1/4.
