Aluminum radiator

Post by Gunsmith »

Does anyone know if someone makes an aluminum radiator for our Fiats? My radiator is starting to leak a little so I was hoping to replace it with something better than stock if possible.

I spoke with IAP just the other day about this very item. They are having an all aluminum replacement radiator product manufactured for the later model Spiders as we speak, and it could be ready soon. I'd call them.

I called them again this afternoon and they already have the prototype in house. All aluminium and weighs in at only 10 lbs. Not sure when they'll be available or the price.

New Alum rads $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, though that's the route I usually go.

If you want to save a few hundred bucks, I think Volvo 240 rads are a relatively simple switch, but you need to fab a few braces and supports. They are alum and plastic I believe.
