My cylinder head was rebuilt recently and starting to put things back together. There are a few parts; timing cover and water tee that I cannot get the tarnish off and was thinking about painting them. The head looks brand new, so would like to avoid putting these parts back as is.
So question is, does anyone have any recommendations for a aluminium spray paint that would best match the colour of the head?
Thanks
Dave

Re: Paint recommendations for Aluminium engine parts
Dave, what I use is Duplicolor "Engine Enamel with Ceramic" in the color "Cast Coat Aluminum". Part # DE1650. They also make a self-etching primer for this, but I have not found this to be necessary given the rough texture of the aluminum engine parts.
Give it three medium coats, within 15 minutes or so of each other. Let dry for several days even though the spray can says otherwise.
