Got a Pininfarina today! Love the car.
I have to get the shift fork re done so that second gear will stop popping out when I lift off the throttle.
Im going to be doing the Vicks new tranny swap. Here before the end of the year. Driving around with a sloppy second gear isn’t too bad for now.
In the meantime, I took my wife for ice cream tonight to show her the car and on the way home towards the end of our drive I had this scraping sound under engine braking or anything where the car was coasting
Put the clutch in and it’s gone. Change gears to see if noise is there in every gear. It’s there. Just not under load. Take foot off pedal and it’s there.
No noise under load. Only without load or coasting. Sounded like I was dragging something behind the car. It’s dark out now but I didn’t see anything underneath
Hadn’t heard the noise all day since I got the car. Just happened in the last 2 min of our drive home 6 hours later.
Possible brake drag?
I’ll get a video tomorrow to post!
So excited to be here and can’t wait to show my beauty once she’s running strong !

Re: Engine Braking Sound / Noise
If a brake is dragging you should have a wheel that is hot to the touch. Since you mentioned the transmission try starting the car and shifting in and out of gears pausing at neutral while parked to see if your throw-out bearing in making the noise or you hear any noise. Don't think it is the throw out based on your description but don't know your driving style. It is worth the parked test since you mentioned the trans and it should also confirm this is a rolling noise or torque based noise and not simply a car is running noise.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

Re: Engine Braking Sound / Noise
It would be very helpful if you could pinpoint where the noise is coming from. My first thought with noises when coasting (not under load) is something in the driveshaft or the differential. Also, is the noise a rumble, scraping, clunking, grinding, or ??? If you can get a video with sound, that would be helpful.
