Hey all!
I'm looking to purchase my second spider, a green 1978
The owner says that the carb is "out" (says the car runs but doesn't iddle), and believes it is a 34/32. I have a spare carb from my '76 on hand, but I'm not sure if it'll fit.
If anyone has advice, or a carb or rebuild kit for sale or willing to loan, please reach out!
Thanks!

The stock carb for a '78 spider should be the 32ADFA, which is an OK carb but there are better options such as a 32DMS, 34ADF, or one of the DFEV series. All these will fit on the stock manifold, but there may be some details with the throttle linkage and choke that you'd have to work through.
If the carb you have doesn't idle, that should be pretty easy to fix. The most common problem is a plugged idle jet or, if the carb has an electric idle cutoff solenoid, that might be stuck or disconnected electrically.
