cowl grill assembly

Post by neslam »

My cowl grills are out. They are the original plastic grills. The center clip that connects the 2 grills is still attached to one grill. The other grill was broken and not attached to the clip.
I've repaired the plastic grill. Is there a trick to coaxing it back into the metal clip that joins the 2 grills?

There might be a better way, but I've always bent the tabs on the clip until it could be fit onto the two plastic pieces as required, and then bent the tabs again to "lock" it into position. Bend it only as much as absolutely necessary, as metal clips like this have an annoying tendency to break.
