78 spider courtesy light wirijg
I have a replacement interior courtesy light, but the existing one was not plugged in from the back. The wires were just loose. Any guidance on which wire goes to which terminal, starting with the switch end of the light? I searched on the forum but didn't find anything.

There are three sets of wires to the courtesy light: one white, one white/black, and two blacks connected together. Going by memory here: the white wire goes to the terminal furthest from the other two, the two blacks connect on the opposite end, and the white/black attaches to the terminal in the middle close to where the black wires connect. If this doesn't work right, reverse the white/black and black wire connections.
White is the hot lead from the hazards switch, the two black wires go to the door jamb switches on either side, and the white/black wire is a ground up under the dash.
By the way, the light installs with the toggle switch closest to the driver.
