Convertible Top Cover 'Hooks'

Post by cabanabob »

can anyone tell me what the two 'fish hook' shaped hooks on the lower edge of the Top Cover are to be hooked to? cannot figure it out, and the top flaps in the wind against the seat. Seemingly these are to secure the lower edge, but to what and with what ??

I know it sounds way too crude, but those "fish hooks" are simply stuck into half inch holes in the plastic side panels beside the rear seat. One on each side. These holes may be missing, as sometimes these panels are replaced and the aftermarket versions do not come with the holes pre-drilled, so you have to drill them yourself. If you do need to drill some holes, make sure they are positioned so that it firmly holds the top cover down.

Assuming we're talking about the same hooks. These are the ones inside the car, at the bottom edge of the top cover.
