Front Turn Signal Options?
Front Turn Signal Options?
I like the bumper-less look. Was thinking about getting the Abarth type bumpers to replace the old bumpers. I was wondering what my options might be for turn signals that fit the larger square holes next to the holes the bumpers mount in. I saw that Mark has some smaller round lights that fit the bumper holes, but those would limit me from being able to do the smaller bumpers I mentioned before.

Re: Front Turn Signal Options?
many of tried to find a light that fits the large hole without success. That hole isn't exactly square. All of the lights I've seen that are large enough to cover the hole just don't look right. I did have one customer that installed the blocks, filled in the large hole then installed my light kit in that location.

They also make a headlight with the turn signal inside, at the bottom of headlight.
This guy has them:

I've seen them elsewhere too. Some have LED blinkers, some don't. Some have plastic lenses. All are fairly expensive.

Re: Front Turn Signal Options?
many of the hot rodders use them, but some of those lights only have a single element bulb so it's either a park light or turn signal. Technically, it may not meet some state requirements for brightness as a turn signal.
Re: Front Turn Signal Options?
I can't find my links, but I researched this item. I found one that had single element bulbs that didn't look that bright, and mixed with te headlight beam somewhat.
I found another that was plenty bright, but was LED which I though weird looking on an old car. Didn't seem to look right. It had a seperate defined compartment for the blinkers. I thought the guy I linked had those, but his pics/info is different than what he had before.
Anyway, still it leaves you with a hole. I was interested in filling the hole myself, but most won't do that.

I just had my Fiat painted and took the side markers off and used them as the signal lights. Here is a picture of what i did to my car.
Re: Front Turn Signal Options?
those are single filament bulbs, are you doing without park lamps now?
Re: Front Turn Signal Options?
Nice set up! did you filled the holes to make them fit that light?
What color is that? have the code? single stage or base coat/ clear coat? more pics?

Re: Front Turn Signal Options?
Thanks, yes we fabricated them into the holes that were already there, used the welder. I removed the side markers, filled in and removed the emblems, and removed the bumpers. I will get you the paint code, i believe it's close to corvette red we changed it up a little added some more orange. I also bought a spoiler from So Cal Mark who i would highly recommend. I have bought many parts for my Fiat and have many problems with ordering from Canada. So Cal Mark has been by far the BEST to deal with, good honest guy that comes through! Check out his website: http://www.allisonsautomotive.com Here are some more pictures of my car, i still haven't installed the spoiler but will when it comes out of Storage in late March (canada is cold eh):
Re: Front Turn Signal Options?

What about this....
I was replacing my oilpan today.... but gave myself several break times
I found some plastic lights that are slightly bigger that the front holes. they hold a bulb similar to the bulb used on the stop turn lights. I was surprised by how they look when placing them behind the holes. I hold it in place for the picture... but I think definitively it can be an cheap option. probably draw an outline of the hole on the lenses and paint the outside black, maybe even the black windshield silicone will hold them in place.... well we'll see. I wanted to show you and hear what you think.
Yes... I know someday I'll get me a real oil drain bucket
