Masking off this morning:
And I am working as fast as I can to refinish the original wheels,...the car is ready to leave the shop!
I'll reassemble ASAP.

Clear coated this morning:
The entire paper/mask/glue peeled up cleanly from each wheel quite easily,...
I made up this technique for this project, and now I wish I had figured it out years ago!

1979 Fiat Spider 2000, pretty much as it came off of the showroom floor (in appearance, anyway):
Now that the clear coat is more than a week old, it's time to drive the car (not near other people!). Perhaps manyana,...
Now I'd like to get these pics to rdv, for the international registry,...and perhaps he's watching.

Good morning (here in Germany),
the website alert works, here I am! Car looks great, I like the original look!
So which picture should I take for the Register? You must choose your best-of picture, ONE picture!
Just send your decision to fahrzeugregister (a t) fiatspider.de
I'll be waiting! Upload to next month possible!
Cheers and congratulation!
Ralf

Re: 124CS20152496
Man, driving the car has been great, but it's time to get back to the 'detail list' that I compiled as I reassembled the vehicle.
Stainless steel set screws for the original drivers' ext. mirror, today, and leveling the floor of the cowl (to reduce any puddling in the cowl). I also sealed around my rear bumper shock tubes (under the 'rubbers') with some black water-based window/door sealant that dries to a 'silicone-like' material. It will reduce the amount of dust in my trunk from driving on the county roads,...I'll finish it off tomorrow, so that I don't mess it up too much.
New rubber door guide-blocks and stainless receivers did perfect on the passengers' side, and nearly so, on the drivers' side.
I'm hoping that I can improve a drivers' door vent window top vs. conv. top edge interference issue (but the drivers' side has been damaged and "repaired" before I got the car). Not a bad issue, but I'd like 2mm more clearance - I think I can lower the vent window and get everything to line up nicely.
Then, there's some new tranny cables to install,...and I will get my new dash and oil gauge in, eventually. Our weather will give me plenty of time,...
I think I'll try for a nice "top down" photo for the international registry,...thanks for the link, Ralf!
