Here's a pretty comprehensive instruction manual.

Re: Convertible Top Installation Instructions
I am installing a new top on a 1981Fiat aspider 2000. The top is a cloth Robbins. No instructions with it. I have the original shop manual and instruction provided above. The two instructions disagree in one important area: gluing or not gluing the rear anchor bar (holds the back of the top town to the car). Does any one have an opinion? There is a nylon stiffener in the new cloth top as there have been on the last two tops. I previously did not use glue. From an inspection there has never been glue on the under side of the rear anchor bar. Yet I definitely see this gluing in the instructions in the web-link above. Amy opinions???

I used no glue on mine. In my opinion makes it easier to adjust the hood for final adjustment. it will not move once clamped down.

Re: Convertible Top Installation Instructions
In the top there are two large tabs of roof material positioned at the rear top corners located at the two ends of the last bow (closest to the plastic window). Does anyone know what to do with those two pieces of material (wrap around and glue to the top bow — leave hanging loose to protect roof from bow corner wear)? I never seen any mention of these in any instructions but last top also had them. Last time I left them hanging, but it always looked unfinished. Any advice??

Re: Convertible Top Installation Instructions
I've searched around and read the different installation instructions on this site and that came with my top and that are posted in this thread. Can anyone give me any pointers on
1)Wrapping the front bow in Vinyl
2) in a write up on this site one person mentioned a foam strip on the top of the front bow - this picture comes up on google images. Is there supposed to be some sort of foam on top of the boat (not the portion that mates with the windshield frame?
