Re: Serial Number
I wish I could tell you that a Fiat serial number contains a wealth of interesting information, but it doesn't. 124CS0 is simply the chassis/body for 1980-1982 spiders, and 00169159 is simply a sequential number over the entire production period. So, in extremely rough terms, this car was 169,159th out of roughly 200,000 produced over the entire production run. So, kinda towards the end of the production run, but we already knew that.
One thing to look at: Is the car carburetted or does it have fuel injection? For this model year, the latter would be preferred.

Hi
and welcome! As admin of the wordwide Spider Register I made a quick lookup: Your car is not listed yet, so no known history for you!
your direct "neighbour" with chassisno. ZFA124CS000169158 is listed, see here:
https://www.fiatspider.de/register?Fahr ... ective=All
From the cars around your chassisno. I can tell you, that your car is probably built in: 12/79!
That's all, we can tell! If your car would be a 1981 model with additional VIN number for the US market you could make a checkup for the history of your VIN, but: without VIN no public history search possible!
I would like to add your car to the Register. Can we get your location and a picture for publication?
Thanks in advance.
Bye Ralf
