I can't figure out how to pull the handle off.
Having trouble cranking the window and trying to take the door panel off to determine the problem

Not always an easy job. Window crank is held by a C-clip. Might help you to push the door panel in a bit and try looking with a flashlight to understand what is going on. Most auto parts stores sell a universal window crank removal tool. You can see it being used in this video.

Easy way is to just run a fabric shop towel behind the crank so it will snag on the clip and pull it out.
