Just make sure to use VHT. They do get toasty.

I know most are accustomed to modern super touchy power brakes and not the older power assisted brakes however I have been doing some re-modeling at my daughters home and have been hauling some pretty heavy stake bed trailer loads, for a 124 Spider that is, and really have not been having any issues with the brakes fading in stop and go traffic.

The Turbo Diesel drive train does very well on the pulling part of the equation.

Thanks Dieselspider. We have a little something in common, we both put a turbo diesel in something that didn’t have one from the factory.
I installed an OM617 Mercedes turbo diesel in my 74 bronco. Went from 7 miles per gal to 20.
What did you do to the front suspension to take the weight difference on your spider. Just curious.

The Isuzu 4FB1 OHC Diesel did not present a problem with weight so nothing really appears to have been done as far as modification of the front suspension. The owner previous to the previous owner did the mod which I have had to go and clean up a number of issues on however weight has not been an issue.
