Hello all together, I recently became a new member.
Last year I bought a 1981 Spider 2000 in. Originally it came from California, it was exported to Germany where I bought it.
The car was in a reasonable state but was in need off TLC, mechanical and optical.
Since I own it, I drove about 7000 miles. (10.000 km)
I just use it for fun and love to drive it through the German Eifel and the Belgium Ardennes since I live near the German/Belgium border.
At this moment I am working at the injection, I think the airflowmeter doesn't work properly.
I am looking for tags how to check it.

My everyday car is an Alfa Romeo Guiletta Veloce and I am a motorcycle enthosiast (Moto Guzzi/ Ducati)

Hi
and welcome Alce500! This is a real internation forum with great stuff. You will find the solution for your problem.
So you bought a german Spider? Any problems with registrating an international car?
Can we see some pics and get your car data for the worldwide spider register (provided by the german Spider Club)?

Bye Ralf

Hello and Welcome! You are driving a great car in a lovely area.
I rented a Guiletta in Italy a few years ago. What a terrific car. Idiots at Fiat decided to "improve" it for America as a Dodge Dart. It was a miserable failure, typical of their decisions here since the '70's.
Good luck with your Spider. Watch out for these guys!
