Hey everyone, new member in california. Just purchased three fiat spiders! This one is by far the nicest and it runs well, although it just failed smog for high NOx. I posted another question elsewhere but if anyone here can tell me about the EGR system (if there is one) on my 1983 124 spider I would really appreciate it!

Nice! On the high NOx, a very common cause of this is a leak in the exhaust before you get to the catalytic converter. The leak can be very minor, and you might not even notice it, but it will cause air to be sucked into the exhaust system before the converter, leading to high NOx. I'd have a good shop check the exhaust very carefully.
