Hello from Penticton!

Post by 1969Thor »

Hello Everyone - I'm new to Fiats! Just picked up a 1969 124. She's in great shape with only 58k original miles. I'm looking forward to getting to know the car and keeping her running and looking great!Image

Great looking car! I particularly like the fact that the sun visors stay up by themselves. Not all Fiats have that asset. :D

Welcome. That is a sweet looking ride. Love the early cars and you are in a great part of the province (world) to enjoy it.

You too can experience Sun visor bliss! Just tighten the screws next to the pivot rod.

Yes, this works for about 4 decades, but once you move into that 5th decade, ehhh, not so much. The issue is that the screws strip over time, and thus won't tighten. Fortunately, rust often saves the day by increasing the friction on that pivot. Just as Fiat planned, I'm sure. :D

Great looking car. I am based in Denver but do some work close to Penticton. You are in a great spot to drive that beauty around.

Hi
and welcome! Very nice and original car! You are from Pentincton in BC?

The worldwide Spider Register lists only 2 AS Spider in BC in Positano yellow! Is one of that yours:
https://www.fiatspider.de/register?Fahr ... h+Columbia

Would be great to include the picture to the register entry.

I'm driving an AS Spider too, very rare species! :D

Bye, Ralf

Welcome. I'm still fairly new to the forum and I can tell you it has been a savior on multiple occasions. Lots of helpful folks with a ton of knowledge about these cars.
