That wasn't quite it :D

I used the clutch for the first time and with a loud bang the pedal went to the floor. The clutch fork decided to pop off its pivot point inside the bellhousing.

I was about ready to torch the car, not going to lie...

I think it was actually the (torn) boot. It may have been installed backwards, causing the fork to bind up against it. Will order a new one later this week.

You probably know this already, but just in case.....it is possible to get the pivot arm spring back on (under) the pivot ball without removing the transmission again.
