Product Review: Mr. Fiat chrome blade bumper

Post by baltobernie »

This is their part number BU-124-012. Good quality; nice bright chrome finish. Well packaged. No holes on the leading edge for bumper guards or front tag, which I liked. Note the end bracket; it fits early cars up to (maybe) MY 1972. 73-74 cars not only have different dimension mounting tubes, but also a "sliding pin" end bracket allowing for (extremely) minor bumps to the car. I was able to make it fit my '73 by enlarging the ears on the mounting tubes and relocating the mounting holes on the fenders.

I cannot comment on their other product, a kit designed to replace the big bumpers. They do, however, provide bracketry. Perhaps someone who has performed this modification can comment.
