I just got a boot from World Uph. and the slots for the metal d rings were too close. The vinyle ripped outword. The whole thing was just too small. Anyone else have this problem. Or have gotten a boot from them? Just wondering. I ordered the whole car from them. Front seats, back seats, and boot. All three now are slightly different in color. Got the front seats and the boot at first. Then the back seats. Sent the boot back to at least match front. Man restoration is fun.

Re: tight boot
Aftermarket part quality is shoddy at best; the boots are too small, the tops (canvas ones) are too small; most of the interior stuff is no where near original quality. Best bet is a good upholstery shop who can competently match the vinyl and pieces.

Re: tight boot
That's a shame. I did what Brad just suggested and had a local upholstery shop redo my interior. It took me a few years, but the guy saved a roll of material just for my job so everything would match in the end. He also took my old boot and used it as a template to make a new one.

Re: tight boot
question - aren't the metal D rings closer together on a pininfarina Spider than on the Fiat Spider? is it possible that someone is making a Pininfarina boot?
and yeah - never discount the amazing work a local upholsterer can provide. Especially with NEW vinyl.
