Hi Everyone,
My 1979 Fiat Spider 2000 has been totaled by my insurance company. I know that these vehicles are unibody construction. Can the frame be repaired? Is this even a reasonable thing to think about?
The car was hit on the front passenger side and when you look under the hood at the frame it is crunched on both sides. I'm not a mechanic nor have much knowledge re: body work, but am willing to invest some time and energy if it makes sense to repair it. I have done all the cosmetic restoration myself and the vehicle was in excellent condition both inside and out as well as mechanically. I love my Fiat and want to get back behind the wheel of one a.s.a.p.
If i's not reasonable to try and repair it I want to find another one.
Thanks for any information you can give me.
Wendy
