Lift Points

Post by neoknight88 »

Does anyone have a diagram showing the lift points for jacking the car up? Normally I'd jack from the bottom of the pumpkin in the rear, but that's where the drain plug for the diff is, and lifting the front is a major pain.

No diagram but I can tell you, lift the front end with a floor jack under the front crossmember. Place jack stands on front crossmember. Lift the rear with the floor jack on the differential, with the flat spot of the jack behind the face of the diff on the drain plug area. You will have to lift the front end first before lifting the rear.

If you can, Drill a hole in a hockey puck to clear the drain plug on the diffrential.

+1 on both the cross-member in the front and the hockey puck (or piece of wood) in the back on the pumpkin.

However to answer your question - there are four jack points just behind the front wheels and just in front of the back wheels. If you get down and look there are some cross pieces (two) on each that engage the Fiat jack. I don't have a picture, but it is pretty easy to see.
