Re: what hardtop?
My limited knowledge of this is that a lot of the removable hardtops in the USA were manufactured in the USA, something about the Spiders being imported as 2-passenger convertibles.
Mine is the Catalina style, manufactured in Long Beach, CA by Custom Hardtops, 213-432-5454, I have no idea where that company is now.
Back in the 1970s and 1980s, the most common hardtop in the USA was the Baja style, which matched the shape of the convertible top, these were made both in the USA and in Italy by Pinin ...

Those were the factory optional hardtops that were made by Pininfarina.geoff wrote:thanks for that. I wonder what the Italian rally cars in Europe of the period were using

Re: what hardtop?
I have a Pininfarina hardtop that I'm going to be listing for sale in a few weeks. Does anyone here know if Pininfarina also sold tops in the aftermarket, and if those are measurably different from the factory optional ones? I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have. Thx

Hey - I do still have the top. The listing is on Mirafiori, but feel free to send me a PM if you'd like more details. It's stored indoors and in great condition.bpadda wrote:Hello Matt, I am just following up to see if you ever sold yopur Pinin hard top? Thank you.
