Just bought new foam for my seats.
They are slightly different although a bought them as BS/CS models.
The wire frame is not fitting so nicely the new foam. And this seems the only way to connect the foam to the metal structure.
Any thought on how to handle this? Or any similar experiences

Re: Seat foam and wire frame
Looks about right for the new foam. The older stuff has probably lost its shape over the years.
You fasten the foam to the frame with hog rings. There should be wires on the top that run in the longitudinal channel in the foam. The hog rings go around these wires and the underside wire frame. You can use wire coat hanger wire for the upper wires.

Re: Seat foam and wire frame
I noted the same issue when I replaced my seat bottom. I ended up trimming the new foam for length and shape at the back. Plus also trimming the bottom so the wire would fit
It worked even though I didn’t put the top wire bit and springs in. Mine didn’t have them
Cheers
