I did the same as you RRoller, but I found a connector with a cover. Those connectors are sometimes used for battery tenders and there are lots of extension cords available on Amazon. I found one with a cap and cut it to length and wired it into the car. The matching end is on my timing light.

Nice, I may look for a cover. The connector I used is a standard trailer rear lights connector. We can compare notes at Tutto.

Any reason not to just use the 12v terminal on the coil?

No coil terminal with the Computronics unit.

Coil terminal is what use but I have the standard electronic ignition.
