Two questions

1. anyone know how to decode cars prior to 1980's vins? Cant seem to find anything on line my vin plate says: 124cs10107034

2. does anyone know how to assemble the headlight assembly? (bucket and sealed headlight) Bought my car without headlights, just got some buckets so I could install some but I cant seem to figure out how to put them together. What is the spring for? Additionally how do you install the assembled assembly into the car? I'm obviously missing all the parts so I wanna know what sort of fasteners I'm missing that hold in the assembly

124cs1 is the chassis number, the rest is the serial number of the car.

oooh I see why I couldn't figure it out, im missing those outer trim pieces that secure the headlight

Take a look at www.mirafiori.com If you become a member there, they have a ton of information from electrical diagrams to service manuals to a vin chart. And more. I looked at your vin and it confirmed yours is a 1976 production.

Hi, the chassisno. just tells you, when your car is manufactured! So from the informations in the worldwide spider registry your car must be produced between 12/75 and 01/76.
