Parking brake cable installation

So I hooked the parking brake cable up after a long time of being off the car, and there are these two springs under the car near where the handbrake hooks up and I can't seem to remember what they do.

the parking brake works fine without them anyone know what they do?

There should be a V shaped metal piece with two hooks at the end (top) of the "V". The springs hook to the top of the V hooks. The bottom of the V hooks into your brake cable coming from the e-brake. The spring is to keep tension on the line so when you release the brake if fully disengages the calipers. If I were better at posting pictures of this I would. I believe you can find a quick diagram on line if the above is not evident.

HOLY COW, that is a clean car. Thank you for the picture so I can see, but off topic, can I see more pictures of your car? If its that clean under the car I would like to see the rest

Super clean and I'm sure beautiful car. My guess based on what is not seen in the picture is that this Spider is a ground up rebuild. I'm with the group that would love to see the build pics.

Sorry I did not want to hijack the thread. But yes it is a ground up restomod the total rebuild is in the restoration section

Very nice body work, turn signal placement, wheels, license plate holder, interior. I'm sure if there is more. Very nice!!!
