Question on shocks

Post by samakijoe »

I'm looking at Vick's hydraulic sport shocks. I asking anyone who has installed them, did you experience a less "choppy ride". My car is a bit/really "choppy.

Sorry can not attest to these shocks, I did get a set of Koni's and the difference it made was noticeable. The car had KYB's at least one was shot, the ride with the KYB's wa sas you described. I bought the Koni's from Koni was a little better than 100 each.

I went from old KYB's to Vicks and was happy. The car sat lower - more like it originally sat.
Personally if I had more cash I would have had Koni's.

Too bad they don’t have rear 124 wagon shocks!

Nice to see another hydraulic shock option out there for 124s.

OK boys and girls, I guess I'm not going to get a definitive answer to my question. Soooo, I did a google on the words "auto hydraulic shock vs gas shock" and I got some information maybe we can all use. They seem to all agree with the concept of the difference in shock construction. I'll admit that I learned a bit today.

Yes, I realize that these videos are produced by manufacturers of shocks, but they are still informative.

I'm going to go with the Vick hydraulic shock.
My old bones can't the harsh ride.
I'll report back on the difference in the ride ride.
(it's going to take a while to get them installed .)

Can't be any worse then it its right now..
