Need canister / vapor recovery system hoses

Post by samakijoe »

I need to replace the canister / vapor recovery system hoses in my 75 spider. I'm unable to locate them on any of the internet suppliers . Anyone know of a source? Or can you tell me the inside dia. I guess I could any fuel proof hose. Thanks

5/16" and 1/2" fuel line would be safe to use. Under pressure with FI , FI hose is required with a special type of clamp. If you searched carefully you would find a thread here.

You could email Tom at Aspen Import Autos, Englewood, CO: fiatrescue@yahoo.com, or call 303-934-8679. I'd bet he has a vapor canister for your '75.

Ran across this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/FIAT-124-SPIDE ... SwkShY-WiW
Does it resemble the one you need?
I've also seen a canister for a 1979, and you could make it work, but it may not look like a '75's.
Best of luck.

I'm sorry guys, but I thought my initial note clearly stated that I was looking for "HOSES" not the canister.

I made the mistake of filling the fuel tank all the way up so now I have to drain some out so I can take one of the hoses off and take it to a parts store to buy replacements. I thought if someone had the same problem they would know what size hose I need to buy. If I had not over filled the tank I would not have found the problem. (As Shakespeare once said "there are no accidents in life." )

Thusly, I do not need a CANISTER... (just saying...)

BTW: That canister for sale on Ebay might be the right one for a 1934 Fiat.

BTW: Yes I know that if you type in all caps it means you are YELLING!!!!!

Sorry! Didn't tima01864 answer your question?
Then all you need is emission system hoses, not even fuel rated,...OD of the hoses will get you the right ones at the parts store.
You didn't state what 'problem' you encountered,...what the hell happened when you filled the tank all the way up?!
