I finally took the old girl out for a ride after getting most of the trim, new rubber, seals, etc. installed. A bright, sunny, beautiful day that I couldn't resist! Oh, and a stop at one of our favorite vineyards! We got the first parking spot and everyone who came after us stopped for a selfie with the car - it was fun to watch.

That girl does not look too old.. She doesn't look a day over ..
OH, you mean the car. Now I get it Looks great
How much difference does that wind screen make after you added it?
Looking at installing one.

Looks great. I have a '78 that I'm getting close to repainting. It is Orange, and the color code is Arancio 193 which looks very red to me when I see examples of it online. Do you know what color code was used on your car? It looks close to what my car looks like now.

The windscreen makes a huge difference - especially for my passengers longer hair... It cuts down on wind noise with the radio as well.
The paint color is the new Ford Mustang Orange Fury but in a non-metallic. The Subaru Sunshine Orange (PAK) is the same color.

Thanks for the color info. One more question for you. I see you put the honeycomb grill on. How easy/hard is the installation?

Re: New paint! '77 Spider
It's not hard to install but I did have to fashion some brackets to hold it. Well, I didn't have to, but I didn't like the stock brackets. I like the honeycomb look much better though.

What a beautiful color!
Those are some interesting bumperettes, are they the ones off a Porsche?
And I dig the turn signals covering the factory huge holes way out at the corners.
Great looking car!

Re: New paint! '77 Spider
Thanks! I love the orange color and being a modern paint it will lend itself to touch-ups/repair as needed.
Yes, they are the Porsche bumperettes. Got that idea from this forum several years ago.
Thanks for the compliment on the turn signals - basic LED trailer lights - over epoxied in metal plate...not ideal but they work!
Next steps are new dash/dash panels and carpet.

Re: New paint! '77 Spider
Looks great. I have 76 that is also Fiat Orange but has been repainted red. Needs body work and I want to return to orange with diy paint job.
Can you provide details on the paint, the type, 1 stage, 2 stage, clear coat, etc. Any information would be great!

Looks great! Any close up of the honey comb grill? I was going to go that route, but ended up going billet!
