Update: Filter and the line going to it was somewhat clogged. It was hard to blow through them but would still work, either way I just replaced them. I tried again and had no luck with the fuel pump. I tried testing the fuel as described above. It works but is really weak. I have found an electric 12v in low pressure fuel pump on amazon. I have ordered that, and it arrives today.
My question is should I put the electric pump as close as possible to the fuel tank or the carb? Is the pump better at pushing the fuel or pulling it?
Thanks
Murray

The electro switch is on the drivers' side fender...has a little rubber button on it.murrayr6 wrote:Also, what is the electro switch? I found a diagram of all of the hoses coming off the carb and one of my missing hoses says it goes to the electro switch. Any ideas on what that is? https://imgur.com/gallery/emjxX/comment/1132805343

Re: Carb issues
On my 74 the pump is in the trunk. I believe electric pumps go closer to the fuel tank.

Re: Carb issues
I installed the electric fuel pump as close as to the tank as possible. This worked well. I started the car up today and it ran like a champ. Thanks all for the help!
