While attempting to remove a sad looking O2 sensor (rounded nut, mouse-chewed wire) I was able to remove it - and it brought the bung threads with it. I suspect the anti-seize either was insufficient or didn't exist.
So I have an old O2 sensor with the bung threads on it. It is possible to purchase a new exhaust manifold bung and have someone press it into place, or should I just purchase a new exhaust manifold, new gaskets, and start over?
You can buy a new bung and have it welded in. Cut the old one out with a torch.

Well, after finding a 18 x 1.5mm tap on Amazon for $12, I was able to effectively clean out the existing port. Below are high-res pictures of the old and new sensors, as well as the final product. New sensor fits great, saved me some trouble.
