Fiat vsMGvsTriumphvsPorsche

Was reading the MG experience library recently and came across this 1970 road test of the 4 contenders. Needless to say who won.

Great test ,thanks for sharing. Having owned 2 MG'S and a 914 this article really caught my eye.I agree that the Fiat is a much better car overall.I was surprised that the small Fiat 4 cyl. was that close in performance to the 6 cyl. Triumph! The horsepower from a F.I. 2000 Fiat is higher than the TR-6.I have always lusted for a TR-6,now I realize I already own a better car!!!

Just what I've always said :D
I've passed it on to an old friend in the UK who has an MGB - I tried to point out the error of his ways, but he refused to listen. It makes me feel all warm and cosy inside, not to mention extremely SMUG!!! Can't wait to get his reaction

The Porsche has the same engine as my other car.

I was actually in the market for a 914, but I stumbled upon the Fiat and had to have it.
