Hi...
So I am reconnecting the fuel injector wiring harness on my 1980 Spider 2000 FI - I believe it is the original harness and was colour coded.
So is installed as follows.
Fuel Injectors 1-4 - Cream Coloured direct to fuel injectors
Cold Start - Green to Green Cold Start Valve
Black 2 inputs - Black Aux Air Regulator
Black 3 inputs - Black Throttle Plate 3 Female
Brown 2 inputs -?????
My Question is this spare connector on the harness.... coloured brown.... Where does it go? I cannot see any missing female brown
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Fuel Injector Wiring Harness Issue
Probably the TTS; Thermal Time Switch, located in and on the bottom of the Intake Manifold, Center, and very hard to see. But if you feel around under there, you will find it!

Re: Fuel Injector Wiring Harness Issue
Thanks.... that is exactly what it was
Thermo-Time Switch
The thermo-time switch is located directly under the intake manifold
between the #2 and #3 cylinder. It is screwed into the water
passage that runs under the manifold and detects engine
temperatures. When the engine is very cold the thermo-time switch
turns on the cold start injector for a certain amount of time (enough
to get the engine barely warm) then shuts it back off.
Failure of this switch will cause some difficulty in starting or a rich
condition when driving at normal temperatures.

Close but no cigar....
Still not running.... I seem to have no power to my fuel pump.... I tested with a voltage light, and ignition in the on position..... No Light..... Power at the Battery is 12v and seems to be 0 at the pump....
Just working thru the electrical between the pump, switch and battery

Re: Fuel Injector Wiring Harness Issue
The FI car has to have the AFM flap open, to activate the relay to power the fuel pump. Try pulling the big hose, and manually opening the AFM flap with the IGN switch "ON". The pump may run then, which will help diagnose the problem forward.

Re: Fuel Injector Wiring Harness Issue
Thanks that helped alot.... I managed to isolate the problem to the pump and ultimately the grounding in the trunk. Cleaned the contact, replaced the connectors.... Reconnected and all is good
Cheers john
