I purchased Rebuilt Webber Carb for my Car. I am happy with the purchase.
My only concern is that I can't kick down the choke when car reaches good temp. It seems to take for ever for the choke to release.
Any Ideas ?
Thank you
Carman

I know you've spent a while waiting for a response, and unfortunately you got me. I'm not a super-mech like some on the forum, but I have some experience with the water choke and the carb (tho mine's a '77 with an ADFA)
First, did you do the 'bench adjustments' before you installed? There's some fiddly work that's needed to get the flap openings correct in relation to the stepped settings on the water choke cam.
Second, have you checked that the water choke's tab is connected correctly to the spring? I have had trouble with it slipping out of the groove when installing...It might have done that and is only pushing, rather than pulling and pushing.

Wibie Thank you the reply. I have not done anything you mentioned. I purchased a rebuilt carb and installed it on the car. At first read of your reply I tried to make sense of your comments. On second read I am now lost. Oh oh....
Thank you

I know this is very confusing...I've been there. I have a set of documents that are specific to the Weber ADFA...Not sure you have the same carb, but I think much of the process is very similar with all the Webers. You can download my pdf and jpg files at https://www.dropbox.com/s/8msxsgoa9wjkm ... f.zip?dl=0 and https://www.dropbox.com/s/enyulsvywjio3 ... s.zip?dl=0. This file seems to be clearest https://www.dropbox.com/s/ccyah0j9iyda6 ... o.pdf?dl=0
They're very blurry, and sometimes hard to read, but if you check all sets, you can read most of the stuff. The pages you will need most are between 9 and 13, I think.

Re: 1978 Fiat Spider choke issue
You want to take a look at the "choke pull off" mechanism. It's vacuum operated and the diaphragm that does the work usually does not come with most of the rebuild kits these days. If it's brittle or torn you may have quite the time finding another one. Hopefully that is not the case and a good cleaning of all the bits and pieces inside of the choke housing, assuming they're all there, will resolve your problem.
Good Luck
