Video of a favorite drive posted

Post by nelsonj »

Hello all,
Well, we have people here from all over the country, and even over the world. I always thought it would be cool if people posted videos/pictures of their favorite local drives. We all have them, and every area of the country has different things to offer - there's a lot of great drives out there, and I wish I could do them all...

To the point: I spent way too much time making a 14 minute video of one of my favorite drives, and to show my a car a bit. It starts out at home (Simi Valley), they goes through the San Fernando Valley, through a canyon road in the Santa Monica mountains, to Malibu, then a long drive on PCH up the coast, through the farms in Camarillo, and then back to Simi Valley.

Anyway - its the first time I've tried a project like this, hopefully it's watchable. I was driver, camera man (while driving), director, sound man and movie editor - one man show. I'd love to see others post video of their favorite drives and their cars!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy driving it.

Peace.
Out.

I dug out and posted a video I made back in 2013 when I used to head up the Fun Italian Automobiles of Tucson (F.I.A.T.) car club. The video is just under 17 minutes long and was taken in mid-October when the fall season just starts to show up here in southern Arizona and is perfect top-down weather. The video is synopsis of a run from east Tucson up to Mt. Lemmon on Catalina Highway. This road is usually packed on the weekends but fortunately there was a home improvement show at the convention center AND the University of Arizona was having a football game at home that afternoon so the road up to Mt. Lemmon was wide open.

Great drive that beckons me often regardless of what I'm driving these days.
