I have a 85 Pininfarina.
I've been advised to replace fuel tank (rust). In Europe so far can only get non-baffled versions. I can source baffled version from US but transport doubles the cost. Read that non-baffled tanks can cause issues with FI.
Anyone fitted a non-baffled tank to FI model? Or any advice welcome.

Go for the baffled. I replaced mine a few years ago with a new baffled tank. Even with that the car dies out on hard right turns when below 1/4 - 1/2 tank. I can only imagine the non baffled would be worse.

Re: New Fuel Tank - Baffle or not?
People have been installing non-baffled tank in Fiats for decades. They don't cause any special problems with FI cars or Carb cars. The issues are just where and how the fuel is taken from the tank. The baffles were never placed well for these tanks and thus the makers of the tanks stopped putting them in.

Do you mean tanks that are available to purchase in Europe? Or do you mean a tank that is Euro spec? If you mean Euro spec then heads up there is no Euro spec they are all the same.

Cheers Matt, no I mean tanks available to purchase in Europe. I've found this on eBay but the pipework looks like it's a FI rather than carb as stated?

Re: New Fuel Tank - Baffle or not?
Re BS9ider's post, there are several European sites (German and Swiss). One you might want to look at is https://shop.schiminsky.de/index.php?ma ... cts_id=378
Further to Matt's post, I thought that fuel tanks didnt distinguish between Europe and US markets. But the fuel tank on my car, which is European, is stamped USA!! Perhaps a previous owner had a US sourced tank fitted.
Thanks to all for advice and thoughts.

So the tank in the ebay add is a photo of a FI version.
That being said it would actually work fine on a carb car. Just cap off the pipes that are coming out of it and use your sending unit in the top like normal.
