I'm thinking of replacing the speakers I have - the PO installed them in the rear side panels in the backseat and in the map holders in front. I'm thinking about replacing them both with these "ultra-thin" speakers:

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this company/their products? I'm also trying to figure out if they will fit the clearance in the back so they can be flush with the panel without getting in the way of the top being lowered. I can't get a good measurement on the clearance, and the current speakers stick out about an inch. I also would like to replace the map panels to their original look, and put the speakers either in the panel behind/slight above the map holders, or in the door. Has anybody else done this? What kind of speakers did you go with and what was the clearance like?
Beyond that, I was also thinking about replacing the current radio, an aftermarket monstrosity, to this one which is supposed to look closer to the original radio, but with bluetooth, aux inputs, etc:

Any ideas/experience/advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Ultra-thin speakers and radio
PO of mine had the speakers in the space above/behind the map holders. wouldn't do the doors, although may be able to hear them better.
Also thinking of putting some in the rear: same as you are talking. I have a pair of 6.5" JBLs ready to go; rear is already wired. Haven't worked out the space behind. I do like what some have done with the rear seat (haha) area: turned into a storage and speaker area.
As for the radio: this example looks like the ones you see in 60's era mustangs, Chevys, etc. I would and did go with a new Sony single DIN Cd/radio/bluetooth.
I think it looks fine. wouldn't go with the bigger double DIN even if there is room.. You can also get a stereo chassis that isn't as deep if you don't use CD.

I've been looking at the same radio. I'll be interested to see how it turns out if you go that route.
