Carpet and jute installation
My spider was mostly dismantled when I purchased it. I'm attempting to reinstall the carpet after laying down a thin (1/8") insulation layer. What I cannot sort out is where my 1/4" jute should go. I know that I need it to make up for the layer of factory insulation so that the carpets fit properly. So I'm sure there is a layer under the passenger/driver's foot wells. What about on the tunnel? and the sides, by the doors? Should jute be fitted up and over until it reaches the chrome trim that screws down the carpet? Nothing on those sides?

Thanks, Drummund. I'm starting getting it all down and it is making sense for fit.
Mind if I could ask about two wires? So, from the main bundle that runs along the driver's seat well, there are two wires that, if I can put it this way, run back towards the trunk. Each has a small rubber boot. I'm thinking these are for the fuel pump, nearly positive they are, and there is a rubber grommet, but what I can't figure out is where they exit the body to get under the car! I think I may have covered that up with my foil insulation and just lost track of it.

Thanks, Drummond. Yep, I'd not only totally covered it up but also managed to plug it with a rubber grommet. In the course opening that up I also discovered I'd covered over the seat belt latch bolt holes. Well, okay, getting there.
