Ok, so this may be a bit of heresy.
Not ready for full pain job ($$$). get the good rattle cans of paint from Paint supply store.
But, the hood I had was a different color of red. This was best option for now and I like it
with the silver painted grill. Still need to put on the grill surround trim.
I'd like to know just how tiny the Italian fingers are that can put those smallest of start washers and nuts on the back of the emblem.
Fun for now.

Nice! I like the black-on-red look - one of the few color combinations that go together really well. I like the Italian flag emblem in the grill too - what is that from? Good job!

Re: new look
Thanks, was my best option given the darker red hood I had.
looks better with the rest of the chrome grill surround on.
No bumper would be even better.

this is the grill emblem. Thought it was a cool touch.
now to sort out the weber 32/36 tuning and I am off

Re: new look
I like the look. Was thinking of buying some black vinyl and putting it on hood and trunk to cover some paint chips/scratches. Also, for the emblem, yes, what a PITA to try to attach the little backings. I used a few dabs of bonding glue to secure the emblem.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

Re: new look
I could do the trunk. Was initially just finding a way to handle the hood color issue.
In a more true salute to Abarth, the trunk should go too.
I do have the process more figured out. the Kombi spot putty by Pronto was great to use to fill small chips and even small dents. sets up quick, sands pretty easy. Get the mixed rattle can paint: much better stuff.
