Where to find original paint color?

Post by Gplayer »

Where can I get paint for my car? Rattle can would be nice for doing interior, but I also need sprayable for the exterior. Havent been able to find anything with a quick google search, is a local pajnt shop my best option? Paint code is 899/F if it make a difference.

Go to web and search replacement or touch up paint.. several companies will make it for you in a rattle can. For under 40 dollars..

I think 899 is Smoke Grey Metallic. Your local auto paint supply should be able to mix it for you, as would Internet suppliers such as this one:
http://www.tcpglobal.com/Automotive-Paint/ If you haven't been following automotive paint technology for a while, you might be surprised to discover that modern paint is highly toxic (and expensive). Many vintage owners, including several on this forum, have found that a local auto body shop will offer to paint their car for very little labor, if the owner does all the prep.
