Convertible Boot Installation
Good morning! Just curious if there is a video out there on how to install the convertible top boot. The car I purchased did not come with one and they are available. I just want to make sure I have all the bells and whistle before I order one. Thanks

Re: Convertible Boot Installation
If you are talking about the cover only. It is pretty straight forward. There is the boot cover itself and two plastic inserts on each end. Inside the boot there are two c (arched) shaped metal pieces with a square loop that hooks to the trunk hooks. If you purchase a boot you need to get one with all the hardware. The originals are better because the metal arches are sewn in the material. 82 and below have a slightly different hooking point on the trunk than the 83-85 years. Once you hook the metal on the trunk you will see how the plastic levers down and you fasten with a button on each side. There are also straps and holes in the side panel to fasten the top and cover. I would not worry too much about those as very few spider have the top straps anymore.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!
