Cromodora wheel caps
Cromodora wheel caps
I'm looking for 4 center caps for Cromodora wheels. I believe they are CD-3's. The wheels look identical to the 1st wheel on the C.Obert & Co. "wall of wheels". (http://www.fiatplus.com/images/P/CD3.jpg) It states they are called the Fergat wheel and use cap #4150453. The cap should measure about 6 inches across. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Tim Keras

Re: Cromodora wheel caps
Hi-
if they are CD-3s then you will find a mark "CROMODORA"and "5x13" on the outer side and a "CD-3" on the inner side of the wheel. They are remakable light, as they are magnesium wheels. Watch out if you plan to sand them, this is no easy task as they should not be sanded with the same stuff as alloy wheels!!!!
The caps are quite rare - http://www.ebay.it is a fairly good source, I have seen them offered there twice this year (sic!) - but nowhere else so far.
In addition I'd check with vendors in the US who stock used parts (So Cal Mark from here, Bruces, FiatPlus, ...) i.e. place an ad in the "parts searched" section here in the forum. Good luck!
ciao,
Stefan

Actually, the Fergat design is slightly different; the two 'ribs' which separate each of the slots come towards each other as they extend from the centre. AFAIK, they take the same centre cap though. (I'll check once I get my other Coupe into my new shed). Fergats are magnesium too - and probably even more rare than the CD3s.

Re: Cromodora wheel caps
Thanks for the info, but can anyone supply a photo so I'll know what they look like if I should be lucky enough to locate them?

Thanks Stefan. I should have known that once I bought a used set of these somebody would locate a new set! Just my luck, as usual. -Tim
