Help Removing Seats 82 Spider

Post by hifijoes »

Need a little help removing seats in my spider. Got the front screws out on drivers side with a 5mm ( took longer than I thought ). Push seat all the way up and can barely get allen wrench in there. Does the rear take a 5mm also ? Kinda of pain in the butt job. Any tricks I should know about here ?

The rear should be the same. You might have to shorten the Allen wrench by 1/4" or so to make it easier to fit.

Thanks....Is there any benefit by taking front seat screws off first or rears screws off first ? Large hands and this has become a challenge.

NO, but putting the fronts in first when you're reassembling will make it easier to insert the rears.
