Spiders in the movies

Not a movie but, the commercial for The Velocity Channel's Restoration Garage shows an orange 124 in the background.

Don't watch the show but stumbled on it a week or so ago. The deal is the owner's grown son who works at the place decided to buy some cars at auction and flip them with advice from the experienced father. They showed him buying three cars, the nice looking 72 Spider for I think $8,500, a Porsche 912 (the four cyl. 911) for about $19K and something else, I forget. Anyway in hopes of seeing how he makes out flipping the Spider I DVR'ed this weeks show where he sold the Porsche for $29K. No mention was made of the Spider but one shot showed it still parked in front.

The Spider looked nice but they only showed it quickly on the auction block, so who knows? Hard to imagine there's much left in it to turn any kind of a reasonable profit.

But hey, it's up in that Canada place, so who knows how much it is in real money.

Two years ago someone came up to me and asked if I would be interested in putting my spyder in a movie. I wasn't sure if it was a joke but after he told me who he was, I said ok they used it three different times and gave me $600.00 [Honestly I would have done it of free] the movie is called BIRDLAND, watch it the other day it was weird to see it and with a stranger driving it. Apart from a stranger diving my spyder it was pretty cool to see it my wife said I had big smile on my face every time it was shown in the movie
