Glove box screws, frustrating!!!!!Help

Post by Betis »

I removed the screws on my glove box to replace some switches. Any ideas how can I install them again. Fiat made it impossible to reinstall them without having the dash out?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

If you removed the four screws along the front sides of the glove box, there are small metal angled retainers that hold the glove box in place that would have fallen out too. Years ago, I removed the center panel in the dash and was able to get the left side back in. I used a magnet to assist my efforts and still ended up cutting my fingers. I also got the lower right side in from beneath the dash (lots of suffering to get it done). To get the top right one in, you'll need to remove the dash.

I found removing the dash is easier to be honest.

The glovebox mounting on the Spider is the worst! I just put in the screws I could reach around the top and bottom and called it good.
