Oil and filter change

Getting ready to do an oil and filter change on my 79 Pininfarina spider. What type of oil and filter would any of you recommend? Thank you!!

Those topics have been discussed ad nauseam. You might try the forum search feature to see the details, but the general consensus is that you want a good oil with a high zinc content.

Lots of folks run the "diesel" oil . You want high viscosity and lots of zinc. Shell Rotella is one example. Plus it rends to be cheaper than "regular " oil.

+1, Shell Rotella 15W-40 Diesel seems to be the oil of choice around here, but woooo hooooo there sure is a lot of discussion about it.
